Le Jardin de Semra is an excellent restaurant in Palamutbükü on the Datça Peninsula. It is located in a stone house with, it is believed, timber beams imported from the shores of north Africa by Hizir Reis in 1546 AD. It is believed to be the oldest remaining structure in Palamutbükü and was used from the beginning of the 20th century until the 1960's as a customs house serving the fruit trade coming from the abundant Mast trees from which the village got its name. The owner Semra serves dishes that are traditional Turkish with an added Western European flair. The food is quite fresh with most of the vegetables coming from her garden behind the restaurant. The dishes are traditional Turkish with an added Western European flair. The service is great, the food fresh and with the very beautiful views and free wifi internet make Le Jardin de Semra a great resturant with a relaxed ambiance.
