Mesudiye is a typical traditional turkish village. On the coastline there are two bays. The larger one is called Ovabükü and the smaller is Hayitbükü. Situated in the lovely little bay of Hayitbükü is Mesudiye, Datça, Turkey. There are bays where you can swim or relax on the sandy beach. Hayitbuku Bay is quite safe and the water is crystal clear and the beach at Ovabükü is very spacious. Both of these bays have pleasant beaches, good restaurants and affordable pensions.
The airports of Bodrum BJV and Dalaman DLM are the closest international airports with Bodrum Milas being about 210 kilometers or 130 miles away from Mesudiye, Datça. Dalaman International Airport is 175 kilometers or 108 miles away. Both airports are about a 3 hour drive via Marmaris.
The road between Marmaris and Datça is a really nice road with spectacular scenery between the Aegean and Mediterranean seas. Mesudiye is only 20 kilometers away from the village of Datca.
From Dalaman you can reach Datça by bus via Marmaris, there is Havas Motorcoach to Marmaris after every airline arrival and it takes 1.5 hours to reach Marmaris, then it is easy to find a bus to Datça. It takes about a half an hour by car from Datca to reach Mesudiye.
If driving, follow the Datça - Knidos road until you see the Mesudiye sign to the left and then follow the road until the bottom of the hill. Arriving by Dolmas, which are running 4 to 6 times a day during the season for a few euro or you can also take a taxi - costing about 50-60TL.
From Bodrum you can reach Datça by road via Mugla and Marmaris in about 3 hours, or by ferry from Bodrum. It takes 45 minutes to get from the Bodrum Milas Airport to Bodrum and the ferry takes around two hours to reach the ferry port at Datça.
Basically Mesudiye has spectacular scenery, panoramic views, beautiful beaches, tranquil surroundings and will provide visitors with blissful relaxation.
